YUQIAN LIU

Yuqian Liu’s career in design began with an interior and landscape design bachelor’s degree at Southeast University in China. Her interest in lighting began during classes at Pratt Institute, and she went on to receive an MFA in Lighting Design from Parsons School of Design in 2014.

Concurrent with her studies, Ms. Liu joined Domingo Gonzalez Associates as a lighting design intern in 2013. After graduation, she became a lighting designer there, working on residential, landscape, transportation, and education projects.

Yuqian began with Cooley Monato Studio in 2015. She has been involved in design development for a wide variety of projects, from large to small scale luxury overseas retail stores, several high-end residential, including 600 Madison Avenue in New York City, and multiple ongoing hospitality.

Ms. Liu is a current member of the Designer’s Lighting Forum (DLF), and a certified lighting designer (NCQLP).
