As an Architect from Mexico City, Ilse’s interest for lighting grew through her undergraduate years. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Universidad del Valle de Mexico and have worked in architectural firms she decided to pursue her passion for light.

Therefore, in 2019 Ms. Gonzalez went to earn a postgraduate specialization as an Interior Lighting Designer and received her certification from IALD through Centro de Diseno Cine y Television, Mexico.

Following her work as a lighting consultant focused on high end brands for residential, commercial and retail projects, Ilse moved to NYC to continue with her professional and personal growth.

Hired as a full-time designer at Cooley Monato studio, Ilse seeks to transform innovative ideas into visually stunning and functional designs that are fully integrated with architecture.
